PAGE SIXTY SIX. Interior, Kessler’s hab. Cydonian Towers, Amazonis Prime.
Happy Friday, once again, Earthers. For all our Pan-American Confederacy readers, we hope you had a good holiday yesterday.
Gotta keep it short for now; in interest of getting the page loaded, I’ll hold some comments for later this weekend. Suffice it to say, the rumors of a Vikki Grimm/Damien Kessler romance may not be exaggerated…
Also, Kessler has a really nice place.
Any suggestions of a musical pairing? Please don’t say “some Barry White.”
Dave

For a revolutionary leader, Kessler’s not doing to bad for himself.
thats generaly the way with revolutionary leaders, problem is sooo many revolutionary leaders could do with a revolution agianst them.
Marsers!
First off, I think Damien having a good life thanks to the revolution is one of the things that make Dave’s script beautiful and complex. There is no absolute evil, nor absolute good. And Kessler enjoying some well-deserved rest at on of the most expensive hotels in town doesn’t detract from the fact that he’s dodging bullets on a daily basis and risking his skin for the martians. I think we can let him have that
Plus, where else would you take a beautiful redhead to? The waste disposal tunnels underneath the hab-pyramid? The engine of the MLF mobile command post? You have to win in style.
As for a musical pairing, I forgot to voice mine when I turned the page in: Depeche Mode’s ‘In your room’. I always thought it was a great song for some passionate encounter; and I’d been dying for years to be able to suggest it!
Nic.-
Knowing it’s a hotel room puts things into a slightly different perspective. I was under the impression that this was his permanent residence.
Well, it’s a little bit of Column A and a little of Column B. It is a hotel, a very posh hotel, but he also lives there. Think of John Lennon in NY, at the Dakota.
So essentially it’s a condo.
I forgot to mention how much i like Sam and Taryn’s facial expressions when Vikki’s saying she doesn’t know what Finn’s going on about.
You know, just because you mentioned it, I put on some Barry White, and it worked pretty good for the page.
But more in the vein of SPACE-sexy, I’d have to say Bowie. Maybe Let’s Dance?
I’m pretty happy that this story ISN’T taking the ‘reluctant hero’ route where half the story is spent on the lead deciding whether or not they’ll to do what we already know they’re going to do.
It’s only the fourth chapter and the sisters grimm have already joined the rebellion, and vikki’s already hooked up with Kessler.
Now the rest of the story can be spent raising the stakes and throwing some crazy stuff at the audience, with the preliminaries out of the way.
