PAGE FIFTY FIVE. Exterior Hippolyta Stadium, Amazonis Prime.
Okay, enough Interludes and “deleted scenes!” Back to our story. For anyone just tuning in, this is the first page of Track 4. Our heroines, directed by Veruca, arrive at Hippolyta Stadium, home of the Amazonis Hoplites bladeball team. The Independence Sol celebration is in full swing. Amazonis, along with a handful of other hab-pyramids, have officially declared their secession from the CSC. No one expects the CSC to take this sitting down, so to speak, but tonight is about raising the morale of a city faced with the prospect of a prolonged blockade and possible direct attack.
Nic captures the celebratory nature of the event in typical spectacular fashion. It actually reminds me of a huge event we had here in Chicago back in 2008. Without the ‘bots.
Now, I admit my musical pairings can occasionally be a little cheesy, but I want everyone to know that I am not choosing any Black Eyed Peas songs. Instead, I’m going back to one of my favorite Canadian bands, Metric. ’Stadium Love‘ seemed appropriate.

Speaking of the Black Eyed Peas, you should really check out Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy doing ‘I Gotta Feeling.’ It is awesome. It really demonstrates the lyrical genius of the BEPs.
