PAGE THIRTY SIX. Interior. CSC Headquarters. Building One.
This week we have the pleasure of introducing you to a few villains. Xander Thule, head of CSC Security, and his trusty assistant, Calin Tyrell, aren’t your typical, suave corporate bad guys. And then there’s the High Theocrat of Earth. Nic has given him this excellent evil Pope/evil Elvis vibe that I love.
What I also dig is how the corporate environs are so clean compared with ‘Volcano Town.’ There is even naffing foliage! It clearly pays to be on the receiving end of a kleptocracy.
We finally have the print compilation available for sale on the website (look up at the menu). We’re including the mini-prints with any order, until they eventually run out. Besides being a quality piece of comic, it’s also a good way to show your support for ‘Free Mars.’ All proceeds go right back into future FM projects.
Thanks for checking out The Valerus Chronicles. I appreciate the feedback and we’re definitely going to continue the adventures of our smuggler slash binge drinker soon. Until next week,
Dave
Oh, I almost forgot. I couldn’t come up with a good “villain song.” Any ideas?

That guy in the second and fourth panel looks like Lex Luther, watch out Superman- I mean, Sisters!
Hrm… villain song… Oh! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XjY2m0bAaU
That song fits perfectly to the scenes this comic shows. And it’s got a good villain-y point to it.
Wow. This just gets better and better. I’m loving this universe you guys have created.
I’ve never commented on the musical selections before since by and large my musical tastes don’t really fit Free Mars, but today for some reason I feel like offering up a suggestion. Even if you nixed the vocals and just listened to the instruments, I think Behemoth’s Ov Fire and The Void would be a suitable song for the villains. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQds0VnqWi4&feature=related
somehow i dont think that these two are the real badies but more the bloke on the screen
I like both of these song options. Though on the train I was listening to some Green Day and I thought some lyrics from Chump sounded appropriate:
I don’t know you
But I think I hate you
You’re the reason for my misery
Strange how you’ve become my biggest enemy
And I never even seen your face
Nice. And Villain song is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBGMW86u1Qk
I’m not really a Green Day fan, but I’ll admit that those lyrics fit very well with what’s going on in the comic.
imgoing to assume they found the band
The greatest villain song of all time is You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch, but that’s probably not appropriate here.
Even though I’m sure that Thule will prove to be a nasty, wasty skunk.
I would say that this comics is very unique. Combat is not really my cup of tea, but the story in the comics sounds exciting.
