PAGE TWENTY SIX. Exterior. Martian desert. Night.
In retrospect, Vikki’s reaction last week seems relatively subdued. The scene outside the crashed ‘lifter seems, at least, somewhat problematic for our heroines.
To think that Nic was worried about designing all the vehicles: tanks, VTOLs, and MLF converted mining haulers all make an appearance. I think he gave everything a unique look, design-wise, but you can see a common “evolutionary” thread. The vehicles all have their own character, but they all look Martian.
Again, as usual, the page warrants a few close looks. The detail here reaches a new level. It’s tantamount to a Free Mars ‘Where’s Waldo?’
Nic’s music pairing this week is Prodigy. ”Anything from Fat of the Land,” said the Argentinian artist. I concur that the technophonic pulse works for the frenetic chaos of the battle. For my own part, I have to go with one of my favorite bands. ’Know Your Enemy’ by Green Day.

Our Volcano City Merch Table is open, by the way. It wouldn’t be a rock show without a merch table. So if you feel like acquiring some new art (and soon a printed version of the comic with bonus pages), check it out.

Yup, the shit has definitely hit the fan.
I really like the look of the fighters. The design seems reminiscent of retro BSG viper on steroids sans the paint job.
AWESOME!!! this is nice
flawless execution as always!
Awesome! Amazing artwork, can’t wait till next Friday!!
Total war! Wich one are the good boys?
Prodigy is a perfect choice for this page.
Possable thought passing through our heroines minds Vexx- Well shit i forgot my bazooka in my other purse…..Vicky- damn it I wish this was a real axe strapped to my back!!…. Sam- Um is it too late to turn back?
PS while im not really complaining but unless that is a gaint space station floating above mars there your wrong and i hate to be the bearer of bad new but mars’s moons look like to giant turd nuggets or patatoes depending on how your feeling towards oddly shaped celestial bodies, also green days drummer’s face is epic in that video while both of yoru choices of muice for the scene seem to fit quite well I’d like to offer up my suggestion of Dragonforce’s Soldiers of the Wasteland Or perpare for war buoth seem to capture the vista quite well and what might be going through our heroine’s hearts and minds

there the lnks if you’re curious to hear them just my opinion on the songs but i feeli can express my opinions freely here ^^
You’re a stickler, comichero. And I appreciate that. I can explain the Martian atmosphere, but the moons are a little tricky. Friend of the comic, Scott Kroll, mentioned the same thing on FaceBook. I tried to ignore him, but now I feel I need to comment.
I could say that the Martians reformed their moons to present a more aesthetic and appealing sense, but I would be lying. The truth is that Nic’s taken a little artistic license with the moons. Maybe the ‘Director’s Cut’ will correct them…like Cloud City windows.

Lol thanks for the info i dont mean to be a stickler but if you ont mind id like to offer up an explantion” eary inthe martian reclamation project an idea was put forth that a new lunar body was need in order to help stablize and mantian the martian atmosphere the new mon is roughly one third the size of earths luna the new moon it was even built with athentic lunar dust to give it that luminescent glow at night , during construction martian youth s jokingly reffered to it as the death star cuz of its recemblance to the then late 20th centruy movie starwars super weapon, it was later discovered serveral miscalulation during construction resulted and low geosynchronous orbit giveing it a larger appearance and in tandum with mars other two moons thier was a stronger effect on the martian atmosphere then perviously thought. wall several offical reports debate the usefulness of the 3 trillion dollar moon but most ney sayers are quited by the massive amounts of money the spaceport, factories and dockyards proved it remains a popular tourist destation for native martians and eathlings alike . -from the martian luanar tourist bureau
This is great, could be artwork for a space RTS, and that’s meant as a compliment
