Actually, T Chicken, it's the other way arround: Fusion is much more energetic than Fission, and the entire Frist and Second World nuclear arsenals are comprised of Thermonuclear ( I.E. Fusion) weapons. THey also produce very little residual radioactives. Most of that is an artifact of using a Fission weapon to initiate the Fusion. Unless it's got a Cobalt liner, of course. That is a technique to create the dirtiest nuclear weapons, which none of the great powers care to do. Perhaps you are thinking of the use of Variable Yeild weapons, which can be adjusted to be less energetic, or perhaps you are thinking of the Neutron Bomb effect, Those leave very little radioactive debris, but produce a massive and very lethal instantaneous burst of hard radiation. Kill the people, leave the buildings. Intereting weapons:)

In reality, Fusion bomb is not as powerful as Fission Bomb but will leave nasty radiation (the main reason why we didn't use fusion yet).

I just wanted to say, first, we really appreciate everyone who contributed something to the "Fan Art" page and we look forward to more additions in the future.

The votes were just about unanimous and Tony Craigen's excellent piece is our winner. You can see it here, along with the other naffing excellent pieces:

Hrm. Not sure if this is even a good move tactically. It might put a halt to *this* rebellion, but it's a good way to ensure you've got another rebellion or twelve right around the corner. To paraphrase Machiavelli, being feared is different than being actively hated.
